BATAM TRIP - DAY 2

Early in the morning, we woke up went for breakfast and get ready for our so called "MISSION"...we are suppose to go to a school and plan a children programme for them. But instead of we surprising them, they surprised us with a brass band welcoming us!!! We are real blessed!!!

Me and my friends instead of doing our "mission" work, we end up playing among ourselves...tsk tsk tsk....mama said the kids there are more well behaved compared to us....


See how they worship God...mama stopped me from playing and join the kids for worship!!!

Games time...we are suppose to help out in the games section. The kids are suppose to play "Passing rubber band with straw"...actually the kids in this school are very exposed. This type of games are very simple for them. My duty is to pass the straws to the kids.

Face painting time...3ee is more artistic than mama, so 3ee will do the drawing where else mama will be the "traffic controller"...hehe...I tried helping 3ee to paint one of the girl's face.

Another group of our church people did balloon scrupting for the kids..dogs, flower, sword and many more...the kids love the balloons..

Overall the kids seems to enjoyed the day! By the time we finish everything we were so exhausted and hungry. We took a cab to town for lunch, did some shopping, mama bought a toy for me and mei mei. We also went and explore the town.

We left Batam at 4.30pm(Batam time) and reach Singapore around 6+. During my trip back, I opened up my pressie and busy playing with my new toy..."Sideswipe"...

Thanks mama for such a wonderful trip...It's suppose to be a mission trip for me, but mama felt that not much exposure on that...will try to go for a "real" mission trip next time!

BATAM TRIP - DAY 1

On Good Friday, mama, 3ee and myself join our church TOC for mission trip to Batam. My first ferry trip, at first I was very scared cos I'm worried that the ferry will sink...hehe...but mama told me God will protect us, so not to worry. Mei mei and kakak stayed back in Singapore with papa.

We left our house very early as we need to gather at Harbourfront Centre at 7am. We can only board the ferry at 8.10am...see my 1st photo, so sian sitting there waiting to board the ferry.

It's was a good experience sitting in the ferry especially when we stand at the upper deck, can really feel the breeze!!!

When we reached Batam, we went to our hotel to check in our luggage. The hotel staff were dancing to welcome hotel guests! After that we took a mini bus to proceed to a church. In the bus, I was told that we need to perform on stage. We will sing God is so Good and This is the day, both in English and Bahasa. After the service, we had lunch in church but the food is rather spicy, so I didn't eat much.

 After lunch, we went back to the hotel but was told that the rooms are not ready. So we will have to wander around....where to??? There's a big shopping centre right opposite the hotel. Most of my friend went for A&W but we went for KFC instead. KFC in Batam really very different from the one in Singapore, theirs is very salty and their side dish is rice and not mash potatoes or coleslaw. Anyway I was so hungry I just eat and eat...I did the Indon style, eat using my hands!!!

After my delicious KFC meal, mama took me to the Arcade to play....it's really cheap playing in Batam compared to Singapore...

Finally our hotel rooms are ready, we quickly took a short nap cos at night we will be attending another church service. I love the hotel room...so nice, bed so comfy!!!

We went down for dinner early before going for the night service. We had our dinner by the poolside...sorry mama too busy enjoying the food, she forgot to take photos of the place. 

The night service was good! After the service, we went back to our hotel, some aunties and uncles wanted to go for supper just across the road. Tried their satay, taste so-so....still prefers Singapore or Malaysia satays. By the time we went to bed was about 11pm (Singapore time)....wow what a day...Tomorrow will be a more exciting day!!! Good night, sleep tight and sleep well!!!

WATER BOMB!!!

Mama bought some balloons for water bomb...she made 1 whole plastic bag of water bombs for us to play...we went down the the court below our block and play...have fun throwing at mei mei, kakak and mama...Mei mei dun really know how to throw the bomb at me...she keep holding it and throw so softly on the floor...mei mei was all wet cos one of my water bomb landed on mei mei...hehe...we had lots of fun with the water bomb game!!!! Fully satisfied!!!
