28th June 2008

Mama running out of idea where to bring me for kai kai liao...so we ended up explore Toa Payoh's library. Borrowed 6 books from there...In terms of selection and variety of books, almost the same like Geylang East Library but the painting on the walls and decorations are nicer at Toa Payoh.

After that we meet mama's friend for lunch...on the way to the interchange, something caught me attention...some projection floor game...a lot of kids like to play one...we can step the ball and play maze..

In the evening, papa took us to Kovan's CC for dinner again. He likes the restaurant White Tangerine...he finds that place very cosy and nice. After dinner I went to the nearby park and play the exercise equipment there. The sand pit is very nice cos the sand are very fine...I like it!

Parents' Day at my School

23/6 - Finally school reopen after 1 mth of break...Am I looking forward to it??? The answer is NO.

I refused to change into my uniform at 1st...mama have to sweet talk me into wearing it...My school organised Parents' Day on the 1st day of school. Mama took half a day leave to attend the party. When I saw mama came into my class, I start crying for her liao...me super sticky to her. Through out the class I refused to join my friends in front. I insist on sitting with mama. But I did join in some of the dance at the back of the class (can't resist dancing). After the singing and dancing, we suppose to serve our parents and tell them "I LOVE YOU", in return mama and papa will give me a box of chocolate and say "I LOVE YOU TOO". When we finished eating, mama and papa when and see my teachers. Teacher Kalaaz said I improved a lot, but still need a lot of encouragement...must learn to share things with my friends...吴老师 (my Chinese teacher) said that papa and mama needs to speak mandarin with me at home cos I really jiak kentang...don't understand a word that she says.

Overall I'm ok in school, mama and papa is pleased with that!

BOTTLE TREE PARK

On Sunday, my church's organise a field trip to Yishun Bottle Tree Park...Since there not many of us, we all managed to squeeze into the church van, drove by papa. It's so fun to have all the kor kor and jie jie sit together in the van.

What we do there??? Prawn fishing, longkang fishing and visit organic farm. There's also "swan" ride, but we can't take cos it's drizzling. We managed to catch a lot of fishes but only 1 prawn (caught by auntie Fiona).

MY LUNCH BENTO

On saturday, we didn't go out for special kai kai...so mama is free to do cooking for me...She made lunch bento for me...fried udon and rock melon. I like the fried udon. It's YUMMY!!!

New Food

Mama knows I like prata very much...so she bought some frozen prata (Chinatown brand is recommended) so that she can fried it for me whenever I want to eat (I think it's healthier if we fried it at home).

Mama came up with a new recipe for me....haha it's called Prata wrapped with Tepanyaki Chicken (inspired by KFC's new twister wrap). I like it...taste good. But mama is not very satisfied with the end result, she felt there's still room for improvement (such as add more colours to it).

Anyway thanks Mama for your effort!

RECIPE:

1) Put some butter to fried the prata. Set aside after that.
2) Fried some garlic with butter, add in minced chicken. Fried it and put some black sauce.
3) Add some cut lettuce in it (cos I don't really like raw lettuce).
4) Put the fried meat on the prata and the just wrap it..

Going to the Zoo...AGAIN

Yeah I went to the zoo again. This time I went with Ken kor kor, his friend (who I call "the other" kor kor) and mama (mary jie jie not with us cos it's her off day).

I remembered the zoo quite well...I told mama I want to sit the tram (cos the last time we took). Mama took the tram with me while the 2 kor kors went and check out the zoo on their own....

Mama took me to the playground cos the last time we didn't explore the place....we had our lunch there too...Thank God we were in time for the elephant show. I didn't watch the show during my last visit. The show was good... We sat on the stairways quite near to the elephant and they sprayed water on us...

When we finished exploring the zoo, mama was "SUPER" tired cos she alone bring me around the zoo...(mama, you too pampered with Mary jie jie around liao).

Photos taken in the zoo.

Photos of the elephant show...MY FAVOURITE SHOW!!! I love elephants!

Going for movie AGAIN....

I've been watching the trailer for Kungfu Panda on TV. Each time when I watch I'll be calling out "PANDA"....so mama decided to bring me for the movie.

This time we went to Suntec's Eng Wah cinema to watch cos mama need to bring my cousin (Ken kor kor from Msia) to PC Fair. We reached there quite early so we just hang around and had early lunch before the show starts. Mama was very happy cos I didn't ask her to buy popcorn for me.

The minute I entered into the cinema, I keep asking mama "Where is the panda???"...I enjoyed watching the movie very much but mama don't think I really understand the show cos most of the time when the laugh I don't laugh...probably I didn't catch the joke ba....

It's fun watching movie in the cinema ....anymore cartoon coming up????

At the big poster

"siam ah" kungfu panda kick me

me in the cinema..."where is the panda???"

after the movie...can't resist the helicopter

had a great and complete day....cheese

MALAY CULTURE....

Mama exposed me to some Malay traditional culture such as Malay Wedding...there's quite a few wedding recently held at the open area near my house...it's amazing how they can change a plain boring place to such a nice banquet hall....

Mama also teach me Malay words like "kompang"...those instrument where you beat like tamborine....I like it very much...I'll clap my hands and pretend as I'm playing with one!

Herewith to share 2 different wedding, showing their banquet, their "kompang" group and their "bunga manga" (those like a papaya tree type of thing)...

Interesting to learn the culture from other races in Singapore! (haha Mary jie jie learn along with me)

Transform open are to banquet area

Bersanding stage (place where the bride n groom sit and people will come and give their blessings)

See the two bunga mangga (use to usher the bride and the groom)

The kompang group (the one I enjoyed most)

7th June 2008

This Saturday, we didn't go out for any outdoor activities. Mama's friend (Auntie Soak Lee) from Penang came for a visit, we meet her for lunch at AMK Hub's Pepper Lunch.

Mama busy cooking

Many faces of taken by Auntie Soak Lee aka jie jie

We later went to Vivo City for shopping...sometimes shopping can be fun too...I get to pick the things I want to buy...each time I take already I'll ask mama.."let's go pay money".

I like this auntie and uncle, I like to play with them...btw, I choose call them kor kor and jie jie...I think they like me very much too...haha probably because of that. They even bought a gift for me from Penang.

Mama made dinner for me "her so called BENTO"....she cooked pasta for me but too bad I had a disturbed nap, so when I woke up I was rather grouchy (mama took a video of me crying but not too nice for her to post here) and me ended up didn't finished my dinner...mama felt quite sad cos her effort like being wasted!!!

I HAD A DATE

Yeap, mama arranged a date for me with Jolin at Civil Defence Heritage Gallery. Of course not the 2 of us only lah...mama, jie jie and auntie Jenny (Jolin's mum) were there with us. I think I've introduce Jolin before, she is 1 day younger than me and we met at TMC on the day we were born cos both of our mama were sharing the same hospital room then.

Civil Defence Heritage Gallery is next to Central Fire Station. Every Saturday the Fire Station is open to public but too bad on the day we went they have some standby duties, therefore we can only visit the gallery and can't check out the fire station. Anyway we still had fun.

It was a good date! After our tour at the gallery, we went to Globetrotters and had lunch together.

P/s: Auntie Jenny and mama - please arrange more dates for us!
