MY MAIDEN TRIP TO CINEMA

Mama heard so much from Auntie Seow Wei and Auntie Grace on how my friends Jared and Jayden enjoyed watching movies at the Cinema.

So she thought of trying it out with me. Indeed she is taking up a challenge and risk cos Mary jie jie is not going with us...which means Mama will have to handle me all by herself. If I make noise and refuse to stay inside, her $9.50 (movie ticket) will be burnt.

Mama took me to Filmgarde at Kallang Leisure Park cos mama wants to catch the 11am show for Horton (guess that the only suitable show for me and will attract my attention). The cinema was rather new and nice. Mama bought her ticket and then bought a small packet of pop corn as emergency entertainment for me. In the cinema there's only 10 people watching including us, I get to have my own seat just like a big boy.

I surprised mama by behaving very well that day. I sat through the movie except the last 5 mins of the show where I doze off...Mama keep waking me up so that I can finish the whole show.

After that we went for lunch and walk walk around while waiting for the Shuttle Bus to take us to Kallang MRT...

I had fun and enjoyed the movie very much. I went home keep telling papa and Mary jie jie about how the elephant dance and swim.

Geylang Serai Emergency Preparedness cum Family Day

Today there's an event at my place organised by my housing estate's RC together with SCDF. Wow a lot of my neighbours and friends came down and support this event. SCDF prepared quite a few booth to tell us about Anti Terrorism, Fire Safety and CPR. There is also a demonstration on how to put off fire. We were given games coupon to play games but too bad I'm too young to play. Moreover the game store queeue is so long..I saw 2 fire engine trucks and Rhino...very interesting. Guess what, all of us were given a plastic fireman hat...I love it! We also took some pictures with Mr. Fireman!

Clear and sunny weather...white clouds with beautiful blue sky

Since my last visit to East Coast Park, mama is very determine to bring me to Sentosa's beach to let me counter my fear of sand and beach.

Since today's weather is quite good, mama quickly get jie jie to pack everything and we are all set to go SENTOSA. Papa sent us to Vivocity for us to catch the Sentosa Express.

We went straight to Siloso beach to "chop" a nice and shady place...As expected, I refused to step on the sand. Keep clinging on to mama just like koala bear. Refused to step into the water too...But slowly mama help me to counter my fear, and I begin to like it. I walk along the beach see many young kids playing with water.

Guess what after spending almost 45 mins playing in the water, I refuse to come out liao...mama have to distract me to something else in order for me to get out. We went to the "water fountain" to play with water.

Wow play long enough liao, time to go home...bye bye Sentosa. I'll come again and visit you!

21st March 2008 - GOOD FRIDAY

It's Friday but mama is not working....WHY leh??? OH...mama said it's because today is Good Friday. What is Good Friday??? Good Friday is to remember the day Jesus died on the cross for us. Jesus took all our sins and died on the cross. Wow very chim ah...when I grow older I'll understand better.

Since it's Good Friday, we will need to go to Church. I spend my morning in church. We had our lunch at the Japanese restaurant at Kallang Leisure Park...Mama like the place. She told me next time when 3ee comes she will bring us there for bowling and karaoke. Am looking forward to it.

Night time mama and papa sneaked off to attend Wedding Dinner...so me and jie jie stay at home lor...

14th March - 16th March 2008 : BACK IN KUANTAN

Since we didn't go back to Kuantan during Chinese New Year, mama planned a trip for us to go back to Kuantan to visit Gong gong and Ah Ma...Thank God that the traffic at the custom was ok...we indeed had a safe and smooth journey.

Well all my aunties from KL and Segamat came back to see me also lor...it's like a post CNY reunion for us...had good food, all thanks to Ah Kim for cooking my mama's favourite food.

I had a great time back in Kuantan...lot's of attention and love...actually I didn't go out much, most of the time stay at home but still enjoy myself very much cos I have so many cousins to play with me, not forgetting I also had "Bobby" the dog to play with me.

Mama went out the most, she and papa went to Megamall for shopping, she also went to the fishing village to buy fish and dried shrimp and crackers (orders from her Singapore friends), went to Tanjung Lumpur to buy local snack and many more. One thing for sure is that mama ate a lot of things, I think she put on weight in this 3 days liao....

PLAYGROUND@BIGSPLASH

8th March, Sunny day : Blue sky with nice white clouds

Nice weather for outdoor...mama has been thinking of bringing me to east coast park for cycling...when she heard about Playground@BigSplash she thought it will be a nice place for me to play...but it was a big dissappointment!

We went to Parkway to take a shuttlebus to Playground@BigSplash, in terms of transportation it's quite convenient. What they have there...a few restaurants and shops for renting bicycles and rollerblade, a mini indoor golf place, indoor children playground. All those need to play lor....I was expecting big outdoor playground like slides, swings and monkey bars for me to play just like at Pasir Ris Park or West Coast Park.

So mama rented 2 bicycles, one for me together with mama and another one for jie jie...we cycled a while, then took a break where mama let me play sand and water...but don't know why I've changed and developed a fear of sand and seawaves...last year I was still ok and enjoyed myself very much at Sentosa.

After returning the bicycle, mama took us around to explore the play. So happen on that day was their official opening day so there are quite a few activities around. There is a big inflated slide n bouncer (which I'm also afraid of cos all the kor kor and jie jie are very rough), reverse bungee and also stall for caricaturists, airbrush tattoos, silhouette cut and chinese calligraphy. The stalls all quite long queeue, I just went for the silhouette cut cos no queeue.

We stayed around that place for about 1.5 hours then we took a shuttle bus back to Parkway for our lunch. We also drop by at the Kinderland's open house...nothing much, just that the teachers there will let me play some games, art and craft and hand painting.

After that Mama and jie jie still have energy to go shopping but I was dead tired...feel asleep on jie jie's shoulder. Mama bought a portable DVD for me, so that next time we travel they can use that to entertain me....

Overall quite a fruitful day even though the Playground was a dissappoinment...most important is that I get to spend a good half a day out with mama.

NEW TABLE

Mama has been thinking of getting a new table set for me where I can bring and put it outside of my house for colouring or other activities.

On Saturday, papa drove us to Giant Tampines cos mama wanted to go there and see any nice and cheap things to buy...after Giant, we went to Courts as they are having big sales now.

Mama spotted this table set at Courts that comes with 2 stool....guess what...when mama showed it to me, I love it too...I keep wanting to sit at the table.



Since all of us like it, papa decided to buy it for me. Guess who choose the colour of the table??? You are right...when you see green colour, for sure it's my mama cos green is her favourite colour. For your info the leg stand for the table should be all green colour to match the table top but papa wanted it to be more colourful, so he took 2 other colours leg stand.

Anyway thanks papa for buying the table for me!
