Simple Bento from leftover food.

My parents and jie jie cooked lunch in church on Sunday, together with uncle David and auntie Tracy. We cook rice, fried chicken, fried mix vege and uncle David cook spring onion "lala" (clams) and auntie Tracy made "tea egg".

Everyone enjoyed the meal very much. There's still a lot of leftover so we ta pau back some of the food (rice, fried chicken and tea egg). Well, as expected this will be our dinner also lor. What mama did was make use the 茶叶蛋 and cooked it into 卤蛋, so that we have a bit of gravy for our rice. Jie jie also fried some brocolli as we need to have a balance diet with vege in our food.

Since for a long time mama didn't make any bento for me, she just make a simple bento out of our leftover food...not very colourful bento.

Another shopping weekend for me...jie jie is going back to Philippines on 1st April and she told mama she wants to buy chocolate to bring home, so it will chocolate shopping this weekend.

Mama took us to this candies and chocolates wholesale shop at Lipo Building, Aljunied but too bad when we reached there the shop is not open...mama needs to make changes to her plan cos our initial plan was to buy chocolate at this shop then proceed to Toa Payoh cos she wants to go Popular. At the bus stop we saw bus no.62, so immediately mama change her plan to Hougang instead cos she knows there's also one tidbits shop at Hougang Central. After complete our chocolate buying mission we proceed to Hougang Mall for lunch, that's mission no.2. Our mission no.3 is to buy a pressie for Dylan (my neighbour) who is celebrating his ONE year old birthday. Mama thought that it would be nice to buy books instead of toys...so mama got a nice book set from Popular. Mission no.4 is to go to the library to borrow books. There is a small library in Hougang Mall but mission failed cos mama forgot to bring her IC or my library card.

Even though mission no.4 failed but overall completed the 1st and 3rd mission which is the most important one.

When we reached home, mama wrapped up the pressie and off we go to 11th floor for the birthday celebration. Too bad, mama forgot to bring her camera cos this is probably the last time I'll be seeing this childhood friends of my Dylan (the birthday boy) and Damien (Dylan's kor kor, who is 1 year younger than me).

I came back home very satisfied cos I got a goodies bag and "Big Bird" and "Elmo"deco on the cake.

NINJA WARRIOR IN MAKING

It's my favourite variety show on TV at this current moment. Every Wednesday on Channel 5 from 8pm to 9pm. Each time the contestant failed or fall into the water, I'll scream...OH NO!!! I will also cheer for those who made it...It's an interesting show!There is one contestant who really looks like my Ah Gu (uncle)...each time he participates I'll say "Ah Gu Jiayu!!!"

On the top is Katsumi Yamada and bottom is my Ah Gu...Hehe...to me I think both of the look quite alike!!!

Since I like Ninja Warrior so much, any obstacles I see in the playground or even at home, I'll pretend as though I'm one of the ninja warrior contestant. This includes the "cave" climbing thing at the playground near my house...each time I reach the top I'll pretend to hit the buzzer as though I'll completed the obtacles!!!

Parkway & NSRCC - 21st March 2009

This saturday is all about eating...we went to Parkway to meet my cousin Eugene kor kor for lunch. My cousin is 17 yrs older than me...We went to Ajisen and I had Beef Don. After that we went shopping and mama bought me a dinosaur puzzle.

In the evening, auntie Shauna and uncle Dennis invited us for dinner at NSRCC together with one Pastor and his wife, both of them are Singaporean but migrated to Melbourne, Australia since the 80s. This Pastor will be preaching in my church on Sunday. The adults had a good time fellowship and I had a good time playing with Ryan kor kor and Natalie jie jie...they took good care of me and bring me around the club...Ryan kor kor even brought me to the toilet but haha, he still too young to handle me, I came back to mama with wet shirt and wet pants...Thank God mama has an extra pair of clothes for me to change.

I was very hungry that night cos usually I'll have my dinner at 5.00pm but that night I had my dinner around 7+...I kept asking mama, where is my rice.??? I'm a 饭桶, must eat rice to make my meals complete. Thank God uncle Dennis ordered fried rice for me...I was so hungry that I finished a full bowl of fried rice super fast.

Ryan kor kor and Natalie jie jie are very cute and funny, they keep making me laugh and laugh!!! We went to the fish pond, took a lift and went to the club's playroom!!!! Mama brought her camera there but she was busy fellowshipping till she forgot to take photos for me...only manage to take 3 photos nia...

School Holidays Activities

School holidays to me is play, play and play...but my mama is not too happy with it...mama don't mind me playing but hoping that I can play some educational toys where I can learn something from it. Other than playing, my past time will be watching VCD...Chinese VCD...hoping that the "jiak kentang" me can pick some chinese words from there...well I did. I learn how to say 老虎，狐狸，猫，小狗，刺猬，长颈鹿, 下雨，打雷，风吹。From the VCD the also have a short rhyme that goes with the word. eg. 雨。。天上下雨垮垮垮，地上马路湿与滑，我扶奶奶过马路，妈妈见了吧我夸。(I only know how to recite but not too sure of the words use is correct or not??) I also started to use words in sentence like, mommy 我要吃香蕉, 我要睡觉，我要喝奶 and etc...to some people it mean nothing but to my mama, it's a great achievement already for me who don't speak chinese at all.

Mama also bought some "paste paste" thing for me from popular...each colour is assigned to a number...so it will so call help me to recognise colours and also numbers. Look below, this is what I made.

Since papa said puzzle is good for kids development, they have been buying puzzle for me...but I consider a late starter liao cos I've seen some of my friends doing very well with puzzle, started at very young age. Mama bought a 100 pcs dinosaur puzzle for me...guess most of the time who are the one doing it??? Mama and jie jie lor...they also got addicted in making puzzles...well for 100 pcs one, mama needs to guide me...I'll help out here and there. It's quite fun and challenging. As usual, once done mama asked me to post with the puzzle, I macam super model in training nia...keep asking me to pose!

一分钱一分货

According to mama, this saying is really true, you "pay peanuts you get monkeys".

This applies to my school. I'm currently doing my N2 in PCF, we only need to pay $48 per month for 2 hours class. CHEAP, right??? compare to other who averagely pay $100+ to $200+ per month, some even pay $1000+. But slowly mama see the difference....the above saying does apply.

Everyday mama will check with me what I've learnt in school and what I did in school. In my PCF, during the 2 hours I probably spend a bit of time learning on writing ABC, counting and crafts. And the rest of the free time is like play time where I can play with the toys in school. Papa was complaining that every Tuesday and Thursday me and my classmates were spending our time playing the the playground. Now they are rather worry and concerned on how much I learned in school. My friends who are in better school are learning more than me, some can even write A, B, C and even read a book. Me here still like having fun playing.

They are not saying that PCF is not good cos they happen to know that PCF at Sims Drive is teaching more things and even let the kids bring back books to read. PCF in Sims Drive is charging $98 for 3 hours.

Papa and mama is seriously considering in changing my school by mid of this year. I think papa and mama will be busy looking for a school for me. All the best to both of you!!!

Kena TRICKED!!!!

Don't know why, I just dislike barley...mama keep telling me barley is nice but I just don't like the taste and the smell....mama tried all ways to make me drink barley, by putting it in a nice soft drink bottle or even add ice for me, I will still reject after one mouth.

As you know I was sick lately and mama wants me to drink some barley to take away the heatiness...yesterday she tried her luck again but failed...all a sudden she came out with one idea!!! She knows I love to drink ribena, so what she did was she put a few drops of ribena into my barley drink...me innocently believe that it's ribena...happily drinking it and commented that it's NICE...haha...KENA TRICKED!!! Mama and Mary jie jie was so happy that they found the solution to it and they were laughing all the way!!!! You guys really got me and Ribena you did the trick!!!!

SICK....

I was having cough, flu and fever for the past few days. End up I ponteng the last 2 days of school...sad, I missed the school party! Actually I'm ok during day time, fever only comes during midnight...but since I have cough, mama thinks that I shouldn't go to school...must be a responsible person, don't spread my germs and virus to my friends.

So this whole weekend, we didn't do anything, just stay at home and rest. Mama needs the rest too cos every night she woke up and take care of me.

What have I been doing during this few days of my sick leave?

1) Go down to the Rain Garden at my house...get some fresh air. Suppose to be good for me.

2) Do some puzzle. This puzzle was given by Ms Koh, it's about opposite words...mama had it long time ago liao but you kept it in the store room. Mama will keep my toys in the storeroom, after some time she will take it out again for me to play. In such way I won't get bored of my toys so easily, keep recycling...Mama is still trying to figure how I got the words correct cos she is very sure I can't read but how can I match the opposites...Probably I see the picture and the colour.

3) Colouring...mama just let me mess up the mahjong paper...don't know what I'm drawing, it's abstract art...haha...

4) Counting...mama thinks that I didn't learn much in school, hope that I can learn something at home...but the problems is that mama don't have the time to teach me...since both of us stay at home and do nothing at home on sunday.

5) On Sunday evening, we went for dinner at Geylang East. As usual, we will go to the basketball hall and try to catch a game. By the time we reached there the game almost finish. It's fun watching basketball together with my papa and mama.

HAIRCUT

Went for a haircut yesterday. Each time I step into the salon, the auntie will be very stress..haha not because I make a lot of noise but it's because I have a fussy mom.

Mama has a lot of requirement for auntie to follow. Firstly, she wants my hair to be short but not too short. So auntie has too understand her definition of short. Secondly, my front hair cannot be too short cos mama scared I look like "gong gong". Third, auntie must try not to use the smaller shaver so I don't like that mozzie sound. Last but not least after cut cannot use the hair dryer to blow me cos I don't like...haha. I think auntie really cannot tahan us liao...each time we stepped in she look very stress up liao...haha...

But I like this auntie's cutting. So far she is the best and can meet mama's requirement.

This Saturday, we were busy with jie jie's home leave pass. Mary jie jie will be going back to Philippines next month, and her embassy required them to do this home leave and exit pass...cut throat ah...mama has to pay $280 for all these documentation, this exclude her air tickets.

We took a bus to AMK Interchange then change bus to Mandai Road cos jie jie's agent is there. So whole Saturday, it's like going for bus ride for me nia...from my house to AMK Int then to Mandai Road then back to AMK Int. Thank God papa offered to pick us up at AMK Hub, if not we will be taking another bus to Balestier cos we were invited to Kimberly jie jie's birthday party. I had fun playing with Nathaniel at his house.

Reach home around 2.30pm...super tired. Very fast fall asleep liao!

Kids says the sweetest things...

You think it's easy to sweet talk or coax kids....actually it's also very easy to coax parents. Just simple caring word or action and you will melt their heart away.

Yesterday it was raining very heavily and my poor mommy has to go out and get dinner for us cos papa is not in. She told me that she can't bring me along due to the heavy pour. Well my reaction was just turn to her and tell her..."Mama you remember to bring umbrella ah!"...that few simple words just sent her to cloud nine. She was to happy that I can be so thoughtful to say such things.

Another nice thing that mama like to hear from me is when I pray for her...I knew that she has a tennis elbow, at night when mama ask me to pray for her I'll pray for healing for her. What I did was just put my hand on her elbow, close my eyes and utter these words..."Lord Jesus, please take away the pain and heal mama, in Jesus name I pray!"

Well mama, you always teach me to be caring and sensitive to other people...I remembered that and I'm still learning. I'll try to show more concern to you as I know you will be very happy...like I always say I like to see you smile and be happy.

I always look forward to Saturday cos it's the day mama will plan something for me...for the past 2 Saturdays we have been "so called" staying at home. Well am sure that mama will bring me somewhere this week.

Initially mama wanted to bring me to Bishan Park for a walk and check out the playground there, but after our market routine we were rather late. So mama changed from Bishan Park to Bishan Library. Mama heard quite a lot of good reviews on Bishan Library, well it's true...the collections of Children books are very good.

We waited for quite awhile for bus no.58 cos that's the only bus t Bishan from our place. We went straight to the library, got 4 books for me then we proceed to Junction 8's McD for lunch...yeah mama got a Happy Meal for me.

In the evening, we took a train to Jurong East to meet papa cos we are going to my little cousin's full month party. Uncle Raymond and Auntie Shirley are blessed with a little baby girl, named Elizabeth. Congrats!!! Below herewith is a photo of me with baby Elizabeth.
